This year, Seed to Supper combines its Basic and Advanced Courses into one year-long class built for real San Gabriel Valley conditions-extreme heat, drought, and intense winter rain. Each month includes one two hour session and one hands on workday at the Garden of Hope at the City of Hope in Duarte or Arroyo High School Farm Lab. The course runs in two parts/ Part1: Building Climate Resilience(September-November) covers growing through extreme heat, and preparing for intense rain. Classes are taught online and include hands on garden work days at the City of Hope.• Online classes: November 14 from 10 a.m. to noon on Zoom. • Hands-on Garden Work Days: October 17 (Garden of Hope) and November 21 (Arroyo Farm Lab) from 3 - 5p.m. Please register once to attend all sessions, including the City of Hope garden work days.
