The History of Monrovia's Route 66

Monrovia Historical Society

The 50-minute film will take audiences back to an era of roadside fruit stands, auto camps and airfields, when a new highway brought travelers through town and changed the course of its development. Doors open at 5 p.m. Admission is free and reservations are not required. Popcorn and refreshments will be served. Route 66 experts and enthusiasts will be there to answer questions and hear stories from guests. Visitors can also see a mock-up of the McDonald's Giant Orange and a 1926 Ford truck that has traveled Route 66 from end to end.
